Reznor UDAS-100-AC4 Gas Fired Unit Heater is a 115 volt, gas fired separated combustion unit heater designed to provide efficient heating. It is certified for residential and commercial/industrial use to provide a 105000 BTU/hr. output with an 82-83% thermal efficiency. UDAS-100-AC4 provides a 50-60 F rise range. UDAS models use an integrated circuit board with diagnostic indicator lights to control heater operation. External gas connection allows for easy gas service connection. Reznor UDAS-100-AC4 can be suspended from either 2 or 4 suspension points or ceiling mounted with an optional hanger kit. UDAS-100-AC4 provides improved efficiency and easier installation over previous Reznor models.

After researching a sealed combustion hanging furnace for my shop area 33'L x 34'W x 15' H was on the fence between this one & the equivalent Modine HDS-100. Both companies seem to have been around the longest for hanging furnaces. I chose the Reznor for the single piece burner, taller narrower cabinet, & slightly higher BTU rating. Had to spend the extra 170 bucks for the LP gas valve where the Modine is field selectable. (Overall unit sells for 400-500 bucks more than the Modine) Unit has been operating for over a month now and does a excellent job at heating up the area very quickly & efficiently. Only complaints are manufacturing quality control. Main wiring harness was resting on burners venturi & I had to reroute harness. Side panel safety switch would not engage with panel door screwed shut so I had to bypass it to fire up the unit. Unit runs super quiet (can have a phone conversation standing directly underneath without raising voice). After about a week the blower fan became louder & louder and was vibrating excessively & found the motor shaft bearing failing. eComfort was excellent about sending out the warranty replacement parts. I will be replacing them this weekend during the warm up.

Heater arrived quickly, I was told it could take a month to even ship, but I got it in about a week. Seems well built, but I did have to modify some thermostat wiring to get it to work with a Wi-Fi thermostat. Mostly I bought this heater because the warranty is better than most other brands.

This is a solid quality unit, worthy of industrial/commercial applications. I installed in my 2-1/2 car garage and it gets everything up to 65 deg in no time - Note: I live in Wisconsin. Amazing heat output with the 45000 BTU unit. I have worked in many repair garages and wanted a quieter unit than most I had seen. And this is it! The Reznor concentric vent kit let me vent and pull intake air through one small 4” pipe, so I don’t have a big ugly chimney defacing my stone house.
