  • Low and negative ambient temperatures don't bother the MXZ-2C20NAHZ2. It is rated for 100% heating capacity at 5 degrees F and continues to provide heating in outdoor conditions as low as -13 degrees F.
  • Integrated Base Pan Heater
  • MXZ-C outdoor condensers have a factory-installed base pan heater in the drain pan. This prevents condensate from freezing and damaging the unit in frigid climates.
  • Precision Temperature Control Technology
  • This outdoor condenser is equipped with inverter technology and an electronic linear expansion valve. By adjusting compressor speed and refrigerant flow, these components provide precise temperature control and incredible efficiency.

  • Each MSZ-FH has an i-see Sensor 3D that monitors its zone for changes in temperature. If an underserved area is detected, an MSZ-FH will temporarily direct airflow to that zone. It also enters energy saving mode if no human heat signatures are detected.

  • By slowly adjusting the cooling set point and swinging the horizontal vanes, an MSZ-FH mini split indoor unit can improve the efficiency of cooling operations without compromising the comfort provided.

  • When an indoor unit runs in dry mode, the coil's temperature stays just below the dew point of the return air, removing unwanted moisture. This improves comfort and reduces the chance of mold growth and other property damage in the conditioned space.

Can these systems can be controlled by the Nest learning thermostat?

Answer
Mitsubishi mini splits can be controlled with a Nest or any other standard thermostat, but you will need one thermostat for each indoor unit you wish to control. You will also need a thermostat interface, PAC-US444CN-1, and a transformer, 90-T40M3, for each indoor unit.

What is hyper heating?

Hyper-Heating (also called H2i) is Mitsubishi's low-ambient temperature (outdoor temperature) heating technology. H2i units are capable of delivering nearly 100% of their rated heating capacity down to 0° F, and are capable of running in temperatures as low as -13° F.

Yes, this system will provide heat down to 5° F. The heating output will decline from the full rated output at 47° F down to just half of rated capacity at 5° F.

Yes, there is no reason the Mitsubishi M-series units can't be used in an office or store front. However if you are using the unit to cool equipment, such as a server, that requires cooling 24 hours a day 365, I would suggest using a Mitsubishi P-Series unit. These are more robust and will perform better under these conditions than the M-Series units.

Yes, the MXZ-2C20NAHZ condenser comes pre-charged with enough refrigerant for up to 98 feet of lineset. For longer lineset lengths, additional refrigerant will be required. For further questions regarding the charge, please see Page 2 of the manual.
