Product Features
Quiet Comfort
LG prides itself on producing heating and cooling equipment that won't disrupt your guests. This PTAC employs a split motor configuration that shifts the noisier operations to an outdoor motor. Both the indoor and outdoor motors are brushless direct current motors, which are renowned for their low levels of electrical and mechanical noise.
User-Friendly Display
All of the LP153HD3B's operations can be handled from the convenient display on the unit. Operation mode, fan speed, temperature, and timer functions are easily set through the control panel's push buttons.
Gold Fin Protection
The corrosive effects of outside air can damage a PTAC and drastically reduce the lifespan of the unit. LG's PTAC units are treated with their Gold Fin corrosion-inhibiting coating to improve their longevity and durability.
Energy Saving Mode
When energy saving mode is active, the unit's fan will only run during cooling or heating operations. This prevents continuous fan use which drains energy without affecting the temperature.
Temperature Limiting
The LP153HD3B includes dip switches which provide additional control of the unit. These switches allow your installer to designate maximum and minimum temperatures that prevent unsafe or inefficient user settings.
Long Lasting Filters
LG PTAC units don't just control the temperature, they also clean the air that flows through them. This unit's air filters and vent filter are washable, making it easy to ensure that your guests enjoy ideal air quality.
Powerful Electric Heating
Heat pump PTAC units from LG enjoy two additional heating modes. Defrost mode temporarily suspends fan operation and removes ice from the outdoor coil to prevent cold drafts during and inefficiency during heating operations. Emergency heat mode is used when low outdoor temperatures would limit the effectiveness of the heat pump. In this mode, the unit's 3.5 kW ceramic electric heater provides 11,942 BTU of heating to keep your guests cozy and toasty.
Central Control Enabled
This PTAC unit can be wired for control from a front desk switch in hospitality and health care applications. When the switch is set to off, the unit will continue to function as a fan but the compressor and electric heat will be disabled. Additionally, LG designs their PTACs to be compatible with most energy management systems, making it easy to manage the energy efficiency of a building with many PTACs.

Unit had a defective remote therrmostat transformer. After troubleshooting, the thermostat was ordered under warranty and was replaced. However, labor for troubleshooting and installation was denied by warranty support group. Extremely disappointed for poor service.

Heavy, Difficult To Use, Unreliable, Bad Instructions

I have a 14 X 40 wood shop and was looking for something to heat/cool it that wouldn't cost a lot of money and also not run my electric bill through the roof. I think this unit is the answer. It was simple to install with no labor costs and it runs quiet and efficient. It keeps the shop comfortable with low humidity great for cast iron tables. We placed it about 5" off the floor on the lower end of the building away from busy working spots and also dust.
The building has R23 insulation in the ceiling and R13 in the walls. I would recommend that anyone interested in a Ptac for a woodshop to have a good vacuum/dust collection. Ours is the 2hp green ones you'll find at some of the online box stores out there and we have it vented outside through the wall instead of the catch bag they come with. We have the Ptac running on a 20amp 2pole 240v breaker 20 amp single phase outlet with a 100 amp sub box on the building, running from a 200 amp on the house around 200 feet away with size 2 gauge copper and ground rods on both ends.
Wiring was simple to install and that also we did ourselves with no trouble. The unit arrived within a week of ordering, by FedEx freight and the driver was very nice and professional. All in all, we had a pleasant experience. I would recommend eComfort and this unit to friends or family, and definitely for someone looking to heat/cool a hobby shop... I will try to post some photos later if site allows for editing.

We needed something to heat and cool our soon to be finished attic. This unit is of very good quality, and it definitely cools an approximately 900 square foot area. I would recommend this product to anyone!
