- The GMEC96 furnace employs a reliable dual-diameter tubular heat exchanger design. Aluminized steel is used for incredibly efficient heat transfer, and a wrinkle-bend is applied to the tubes to enhance the heat exchanger's dependability and longevity.
- Secondary Heat Exchanger
- This furnace produces addition heat by directing combustion gases through a secondary heat exchanger before they are vented. The secondary heat exchanger is made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel and it is sloped to prevent condensate build-up.
- Quiet Comfort
- The blower, motor, and gas valve of the GMEC960603BN were selected for their incredibly low sound levels. Additionally, this unit's fan speed options make it easy to maintain virtually silent circulation.
- Venting Options
- The GMEC960603BN offers several venting options to streamline installation in a variety of applications. It can be used in either a two-pipe direct vent setup or a single-pipe configuration with combustion air.
- Secure Cabinet
- All GMEC96 furnaces are protected by a durable steel cabinet rated for less than 2% air leakage. The heat exchanger section is lined with foil-insulation to prevent heat loss and the return side of the cabinet is solid and airtight.
- Easy Integration
- The GMEC960603BN makes it simple to enhance your system with a humidifier and an electronic air cleaner; just wire them directly to the low-voltage terminals on the control board.
- Extended Warranty
- Goodman offers a 10-year limited unit replacement and parts warranty when you register your product online within 60 days of installation. An unregistered product has the standard 5-year warranty. See the "Manuals" tab for more information.

I received the furnace within 5 days of order and payment, well packed and in good condition. After install and power hookup the unit fired up and heated as it should. There is yet to come winter test, however thusfar I am very pleased.

Paired with a two stage heat pump condenser unit. The package as installed is quite impressive. Seldom does it ever run on the second stage which saves power while running on the first stage. The air handler portion is quiet. We will see how it does in the heat mode but still expect great results after the initial install, checkout and run sequences.

Originally ordered incorrect furnace my error not looking at cabinet size. 1st Furnace was delivered fast and brought to the front door.
Called to return the wrong unit customer service was very helpful. Found out they were close enough for me to return the incorrect and pick up the correct unit.
Furnace was everything as expected. Furnace works great even with the -22°F temperature we had in SW Michigan performed perfect.
Only thing I wish is that eComfort.com (Power Equipment Direct) sold the plenums and gave discount on warehouse picks.

Goodman has come quite a long way in quality and dependability over the past 10 years or so. This is the 4th Goodman system I have installed in as many houses. All function well, and are still in service.
They are easy to install by the experienced DIY guy. If you get stuck, there are lots of videos on you tube.
eComfort had the best price when you consider shipping costs. They included Free shipping, and Free lift gate service. Unit arrived undamaged in a couple days.
I would definitely purchase another Goodman, and I will continue to use eComfort.
