Comfort and convenience

After debating between the nest and the ecobee, I'm so happy with my decision to go ecobee. The remote sensors, the app and ease of install and use makes this a necessity for any house that struggles with rooms that are too cold or too hot. I dont have to get up in the middle of the night to change the thermostat, I just open the app, check the sensors and adjust to my liking. Highly recommend.

The whole reason why I loved the ecobee more than the other smart thermostats was the ability to increase comfort in hot/cold spots in the house.
These remote sensors can reach up to 100ft. away and use a regular button battery for power. They're incredibly easy to set up. Just pull the tab next to the thermostat, name it e.g. "living room", and place it in the designated place. Placement is easy, they come with a stand or you can mount easily on the wall. You don't even notice them.
They work by reading movement and heat signature with infrared, so small animals aren't supposed to set it off.
Where these truly shine is with the "follow me" feature enabled. When we're in the basement family room at night where it's usually freezing, the sensor will tell the heat to kick on, so we don't have to go upstairs to adjust the thermostat like we used to. We're also saving a ton of money because, at night, only the bedrooms temps are being read.
Overall, we are much more comfortable with having 3 sensors (these plus the main) throughout the house no other thermostat does this. Well worth the money for the added benefits!
