Takagi T-K4U-OS-NG Reviews & Ratings

So far, so good.

This unit has been installed for just over a week and it's doing well so far. My only complaint is that the water takes longer to get hot at the tap on an upstairs bathroom. I installed this unit because of a bathroom remodel that included a 70 gallon soaking tub. I think it will be just fine for filling up the tub with hot water. I wonder about the efficiency of the unit when it turns on for a short burst of hot water, but future energy bills will tell. Also, if you're installing it as a DIY'er, vertical venting can be tricky. I had to replace the galvanized flue with stainless Z-flex and along with the special drain valves and plumbing, it was almost as much as the heater.

We installed this product several months ago and I am very pleased. The installation was fairly straight forward, and we have been pleased with performance. Time will tell how this product works over the long haul. The PVC venting ability really makes this model stand out for me. So far so good.

After buying a gas regulator, supply lines and adapter fittings, the installation was simple. It has only been 2 months, but so far everything works absolutely perfect.
