Taco is at the forefront of circulator innovation. Their drive to provide the most efficient, reliable pumps in the industry can be seen across their entire catalog. Taco's XPB-1 is a marvel of radiant heating versatility. The X-Pump Block combines a variable speed circulator and a single stage system circulator into a single piece of equipment capable of handling up to 50,000 BTU's of radiant heating transfer. It also includes a heat exchanger for system isolation and a streamlined control panel for all processes. The variable speed circulator injects water into the heat exchanger to achieve the perfect temperature without wasting any heat while the other circulator handles system water flow. If you're looking for amazing radiant efficiency, it begins with an XPB-1. The variable speed circulator supports either outdoor reset control or setpoint control. If you opt for setpoint the option of adding a delta-T limit is available, for preserving a fixed temperature drop. The large LCD display on the control makes it easy to set your XPB and check system temperatures. The bronze construction of the X-Pump Mixing Block makes it ideal for applications where corrosion resistance is important. A design that circumvents the need for traditional maintenance is coupled with durable components to provide you peace of mind. With Taco, your hydronic circulation is in good hands.
Replaceable Cartridge Design
All of the circulators' moving parts are contained within a removable cartridge. Servicing a X-Pump Block's pumps is as easy as replacing these cartridges.
Advanced Heat Exchanger Design
The XPB-1 uses a counter-flow style, brazed plate heat exchanger. These heat exchangers are known for exceptional heat transfer qualities, compact size, and corrosion resistance.
Getting an XPB-1 into your radiant system is a painless process; It requires only four piping connections. Wiring is equally easy with the included line cord and quick, plug-in low voltage connections.
With an included heat source sensor, the XPB-1 can protect your heat source from thermal shock and condensation damage by limiting the amount of cool water return. If your XPB is in outdoor reset mode, it can provide a warm weather shutdown temperature to limit system wear and tear.
