What is the diameter of the wire and would it be possible to run in the grout of a tile floor?
Michael
from Texas
June 03, 2016
Answer
The heating wire is approximately 3/8" in diameter. It must be fully encased within a layer of mortar and must be spaced between 2.5"-3.5" o.c. Given these requirements, I would strongly advise against attempting to install it between your rows of tile. I expect this type of installation will void warranty coverage.
