- SpacePak offers homeowners so many benefits; it is no wonder that it is the preferred choice for both retrofit and new home construction. Retrofit installations are hassle-free, with no major remodeling.
- Unlike conventional central air systems that can require major renovations, SpacePak's flexible, pre-insulated 2" diameter tubing can be threaded through closets or between wall studs or ceiling joints. The whisper-quiet system is run by a blower unit small enough to fit inside an attic, basementor crawlspace.
- Removes up to 30% more moisture from the air than conventional air conditioning systems.Nothing is more uncomfortable than heavy, humid, sticky air. The SpacePak system features an exclusive deep coil design that can remove up 30% more moisture from the air than conventional central air systems. The result is a much lower humidity level that helps you feel cool and comfortable at a higher, more energy efficient thermostat setting.
- SpacePak AC-ST6-100 R-6 Insulated Supply Tubing 2" ID x 100' attached to main duct work like SPS-PD-6 - square fiberglass main duct trough the plenum take-off with gasket and clips BM-3008 or for round SmartPak AC-SSD duct plenum take-off with gasket and clips AC-TORD. Other side of flexible supply tubing can be connected by using Kwick Connects - SPC-38-10 to Sound Attenuating Tubing BM-6926 or if you have run of the supply tubing longer than 25' you can connect to the Terminator Plate - BM-6845
- SpacePak Outlets - The most important rule of thumb when installing a SpacePak system is having the proper number of outlets. Six (6) to Seven (7) outlets per ton are recommended for optimal 35-40 CFM airflow from each outlet under normal conditions to maximize aspiration.
- SpacePak Outlet Placement - Outlets should be placed in the room where they will create the least disturbance (floors, ceilings, walls) and not infringe upon inhabitants with turbulent air. Traffic patterns, drapes and bed placement are all factors to consider.
- SpacePak Supply Duct - Ideally, all runs should be as equal in length as possible. Keep the 2" duct length between 9 ft. and 30 ft. for best performance. The longer the run, the lower the CFM capacity. See performance chart in installation manual.
- SpacePak Main Trunk/Duct - Maximize use of the main trunkline in order to minimize the lengths of 2" duct. It will allow for an easier installation and better performing, balanced system if 2" duct lines are minimized.
- Spacepak 60/40 Rule - Always try to use a full flow "T" in larger, 4-5 ton systems. Never exceed a 60/40 split of outlets off the main trunkline in order to maintain evenly distributed airflow. A perfect 50/50 split is best.
- SpacePak Take-Offs Location - Distribute takeoffs as evenly as possible along the main trunkline - no closer than 6" away from one another. This will assure better balanced airflow.
- SpacePak Sound Attenuators - The last 3 ft. of every run should use a fully-fabricated SpacePak sound attenuator to reduce outlet air sound.
- SpacePak Return Air Duct - Minimize potential fan noise and maximize performance of this acoustically lined duct by incorporating a 90-degree bend between the air handler and return grille.

The new SpacePak ESP-G Series Fan Coils like ESP-2430GH4 2-2 1/2 Ton HorizontalCooling/Heat-Pump Air Handler with Coil is the result of focus groups with contractors. It features a plastic drain pan with the tappings in front of the coil. The electrical control panel is inside the unit. It has a removable return air rear panel. The TXV and piping has been moved out of the air stream with the connections out the front of the unit, out of the way of the condensate lines.
SpacePak ESP-G Fan Coil Air Handler at Glance:
The biggest difference between SpacePak, Unico High Velocity Air Systems and other air conditioning systems is the way SpacePak actively circulates air within the room and throughout the structure's entire living/working space. Circulating the air more effectively is what makes a home with SpacePak central air so uniformly comfortable: no cold or warm spots, no drafts, and up to 30% more humidity removed. Conventional central air systems merely drop cold air in at the ceiling; the distribution of cool air is haphazard, leading to over-cooling in some spots or drafts in others. Window air conditioner units or mini-splits require noisy fans within the living space to blow the air around, and there is no overall circulation of the home's air.

Why Should You Have SpacePak ESP-G Series Fan Coil unit like ESP-2430GH4 in Your House?
ESP-G Series SpacePak - Small, Flexible Tubing Instead of Sheet Metal Ductwork
A central heating or cooling system designed to actively circulate air can use smaller ducts than conventional systems; 2 inch mini duct insulated supply tubing keeps the air moving consistently - like pouring water from a pitcher. This smaller duct allows SpacePak to use flexible tubing to distribute the air instead of bulky sheet metal ductwork. This tubing is seamless, so it doesn't waste energy through leaks like sheet metal. And it's flexible, so passages have no corners to accumulate dust, pollen, or mold. The tubing's narrow diameter allows it to be placed in the spaces behind walls, floors, and ceilings: it can be installed with virtually no disruption to livable space, nor to interior architectural features.
SpacePak - Building a new home?
SpacePak installation is even easier as the system is installed with the other rough-ins. And SpacePak gives you added value and versatility for winter warming through a hot water coil, electric coil or heat pump with selected models.
