Features
Schluter-DITRA-HEAT is a modern, advanced under-tile floor heating system. A significant refinement on the underfloor heating systems from the last decade, it is thinner, easier to install, and is entirely waterproof. This is a mat of the uncoupling membrane used in the new DITRA-HEAT system. The DITRA-HEAT membrane not only serves as the perfect inlay for DITRA-HEAT heating wire, it also performs the tile-uncoupling functions of other underfloor DITRA membranes. This results in less tile breakage, eliminates grout problems, and makes replacing any tiles that do happen to break a trivial process.
Tile Uncoupling Functionality
Schluter-DITRA-HEAT membranes carry over all the functionality of Schluter-DITRA uncoupling membranes. These function as a flexible layer between your tile and the rigid subfloor underneath it, reducing tile breakage and eliminating grout problems.
Incredibly Thin
Schluter-DITRA-HEAT membranes are one quarter of an inch thick, adding virtually no height to your floor at all.
No Leveling Compound Required
The unique, flexible construction of the membrane sheets eliminates the need for a leveling compound, making installation quick and easy.

Product QuestionsAnswered by Bob, the eComfort Product Expert
I have a 100sqft ready for tile. Subfloor is 2 half inch plywood sheets. This is on the 3rd floor of home so, is heated from below. Not sure I need it, but my wife likes the idea. I see 134.5 sqft rolls. Do I also need wire? Tstat? Can it be cut? Anything else?
The mat can be cut to size, but the wire cannot be cut so you will need to select the appropriate size. When determining the floor area to be covered by the cable, make sure that you are allowing at least 6" of clearance to any walls or built in obstacles such as cabinets, showers, and toilets. Also, provide 10" of clearance to any heat sources such as fireplaces, baseboards, etc.
