The QuietCool whole house fan Wi-Fi smart control is the easiest way to control your QuietCool whole house fan from your phone or tablet. Simply download the QuietCool App on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and you'll be able to set up your fan to be controlled via phone or tablet in your home. The QuietCool Control App allows users to set the length of time that the fan will run and set the desired speed level.

Countdown Timer
With the QuietCool Wi-Fi Smart Control you can control the speed of your fan, as well as the countdown timer, from 30 minutes to 8 hours.
Control Multiple Fans
Purchase one Wi-Fi Smart Control hub per motorhead in your QuietCool system. The QuietCool network inside of your home can control up to 15 fans.

I can’t speak to those who have had issues but mine is working great. It’s does what it supposed to do. I mounted it directly to the fan and removed the handy box. Well, one thing to those with issues because I considered it. If your unit hangs up, reset it by flipping your breaker off then on, it’s most likely an attic/furnace circuit.

I purchased this to control my ES-6000 fan. The primary reason I purchased this rather than hard wiring it to a switch was so that I was able to activate the medium speed setting on that fan. This is achieved by adding a wire between it and the fan motor, if you are comfortable with electrical wiring.

The Android app is surprisingly good. It's simple, but it works 100% of the time and does exactly what it needs to do. You can set the speed and a timer (or hold it at that speed indefinitely).

My only complaint is that it doesn't have any capability of integrating with any home automation systems. I wish it had Z-Wave or Zigbee communication, or at least an API. I knew it lacked those capabilities when I purchased it, but I would love to be able to tie this into my home automation system.

I bought this to control my new whole house fan and it works great. I love being able to control the fan from my phone and the fact that I didn't need to run wiring from the attic for a physical switch.

When it works, it's a great addition to the QuietCool whole house fans. I purchased two fans for our home and two wireless devices for both. The WiFi controller on fan #1 has worked flawlessly from the beginning. The WiFi controller on fan #2 was non-functional within two days of install. The diagnostic screen showed faulty relays. QuietCool quickly replaced it with another which then died within a couple of weeks. Now on my third which has been working since installing it. While replacing the second unit with the existing unit, I decided to remotely wire the WiFi controller to a closet in the house. I'm a little tired of having to climb in the attic so if I have to replace another (hopefully not), it will be much easier. Also, I wish these units would have been designed with an Ethernet connection with the choice to use wireless or direct connection. But, I've had no issues with the WiFi.. when they work. I've also had no issue with the app on both IOS and Android. I also use BlueStacks to run the Android version on my Windows 10 based PC since there is currently no Windows version of the app.

It's a cool idea, but you do need wifi and the app. Has disconnected twice now. I have had to go up in the attic and do a hard reboot. Tech guys are really helpful. So it does have it's ups and downs.

There is nothing smart about the Wi-Fi smart control. The app does not work and shows nothing but "network error." You will spend a ton of time fighting with the app trying to get to function as intended. Tech support was no help. I planned on saving money by not installing a wall switch. That was a mistake. I have a number of devices that I control from my phone. This is by far the worst. Invest in a wall switch.

This is very buggy have to power cycle this device about every other day to get it to work.. Doesn't want to connect and always says it is the wrong password until you power cycle it.. Would not recommend... Seemed like a good idea so i didn't need to put a switch in my wall,, going to have to put a switch in my wall to so i can stop getting in the actic and power cycling this thing... The fan is great just buy the switch... This product is not ready for release.

This is the most buggy product I have ever purchased. The app is junk and they refuse to fix it, blaming Intermatic, the company that designed and built this "product". I have made countless calls to their tech support with nothing by lame excuses and no solutions.
Avoid this product.
