- Built-In Thermostat and Humidistat
- The QuietCool Smart Attic Fan eliminates the days of having to adjust the thermostat for your attic fan. It features a built-in thermostat and humidistat. It has a 10-speed ECM motor that constantly checks and adjusts the temperature and humidity levels.
- Energy Savings
- The Smart Attic Fan will keep your attic cooler than it would with a traditional single-speed attic fan. When the attic stays cooler, the fan runs at a lower speed saving on energy costs.
- Smart Attic Fan
- When the fan detects that the temperature rises over 80 degrees, or humidity is over 60%, the Smart Attic Fan comes on at the lowest speed. As the attic starts to warm up, the Smart Attic Fan will automatically adjust its speed.

The AFR SMT-2.0 is the world's first smart roof mount attic fan. During the summer, an attic can be 40-50 degrees hotter than the outside temperature; which can affect the temperature inside your house. With an attic fan, cool the attic to the same temperature as it is outside, while avoiding temperature swings inside your home. After researching for weeks on the right fan to install where I would be removing a no longer needed swamp cooler, I chose this one... might be a bit overkill for my needs however this thing is a beast and keeps the attic space 40 to 50 degrees cooler than without it. Very quiet...even on high,very impressive unit...you get what you pay for folks, If you follow the directions .....you won’t be disappointed! Oh yeah... the App is a nice feature as well to confirm that it’s working properly...Solid Purchase!

I have been looking for a QUIET attic fan for several years to replace the one I have that is not quiet. Until I found this one I had been out of luck. This is great as far a quietness plus it is auto speed and also works with humidity.

Having a single speed attic exhaust fan is simply inefficient. Construction is solid and the high CFM is great for the larger attics.

I am very happy with the unit, was pretty simple to install, it works great!
but the only thing i ordered the optional RF switch, i am not sure how to hook that up to the fan, or if i even need it,
please advise me at how to install it, i dolloped online and could not find the installation instruction for the RF switch

This made an immediate impact on my 2nd story of my house. We have a good size house and the builder's fan was too small. This fan, once installed was not loud had a 3-prong plug to just plug into an outlet in the attic was not loud even though it moves a lot of air looks good on my darker roof and lowered the heat/humidity in my 2nd floor that was very noticeable. I have already recommended it to others.

I should have installed this year's ago. Just got this installed and I am seeing a huge difference already. When I was getting bids to do the install there was uniform positive comments about the quality of the unit. Most had not heard of it before seeing mine. The variable speed will help it last longer than single speed fans. There is a ring guard around the core that will prevent rain from blowing up into the opening, not so fans have that it it is an extra add on. The motor is direct drive and high quality.
I have to go up in the attic to make sure it is running, you hear no sound in the house. Manufacturer might add an led that can be wired into the room below the fan that lights up when the fan is on.

Works well. Cycles through the speeds and keeps that attic cool. Make sure to get silicone if you have gable vent because there is some vibration/noise.
