Features
- Precision Temperature Control Technology
- The MUZ-FH06NA condenser is equipped with inverter technology and an electronic linear expansion valve. By adjusting compressor speed and refrigerant flow, the unit matches output to the zone for precise temperature control and improved efficiency.
- i-see Sensor 3D
- The sensor monitors the floor and ceiling of its zone for occupancy and fluctuations in temperature. If it detects an underserved area, the unit will temporarily adjust airflow. If it doesn't find human heat signatures, it will enter energy saving mode.
- H2i Technology
- Low or negative ambient temperatures don't bother the MUZ-FH06NA. It is rated for 100% heating capacity at 5 degrees F and continues to provide heating in outdoor conditions as low as -13 degrees F.
- Advanced Filtration System
- A catalyst-coated filter is the first defense against odors. A second deodorizing filter utilizes a ceramic surface element and platinum nanoparticles to absorb smells. An enzyme-based anti-allergy filter captures and destroys bacteria and particulates.
- Hot-Start
- Mitsubishi's hot start technology prevents cold drafts by delaying fan operation until the heat exchanger has warmed up.
- Smart Set
- Smart Set allows you to save cooling and heating profiles, each consisting of a temperature, a fan speed, and an airflow direction. These profiles can be activated easily with a single press of the Smart Set button on the remote controller.
- Powerful Mode
- The powerful setting on the MSZ-FH06NA makes it easy to get your zone to the perfect temperature quickly. When it is activated, the unit temporarily increases refrigerant flow and fan speed to provide quick comfort through rapid heating or cooling.
- Econo Cool Mode
- By slowly adjusting the cooling set point and swinging the horizontal vanes, the MSZ-FH06NA can improve the efficiency of cooling operations without compromising the comfort provided.
- Dehumidification
- When the indoor unit is run in dry mode, the coil's temperature stays just below the dew point of the return air, removing unwanted moisture. This improves comfort and reduces the chance of mold growth and other property damage in the conditioned space.
- Multiple Vane Control Options
- Auto mode selects the best vane position based on operating mode, and the swing modes cycle through all positions for maximum coverage. When wide mode is activated, fan speed increases beyond the current setting.
- (1) Mitsubishi - 6k BTU - FH-Series H2i Outdoor Condenser - Single Zone Only (MUZ-FH06NA)
- (1) Mitsubishi FH-Series 6k BTU Wall Mounted Unit - For Multi or Single-Zone (MSZ-FH06NA)
- Line Set - This double insulated tubing transfers refrigerant efficiently between your outdoor condenser and indoor unit.
- Drain Tubing - Drain tubing facilitates the reliable and effective removal of condensate from your system. It connects your indoor unit to drain locations of your choosing.
- Disconnect Box & Electrical Whip Kit - The Disconnect Box & Whip Kit provides a safe and simple way to connect your outdoor condenser to your fuse box.
- Connecting Wire - This durable, insulated wire provides power to your indoor unit from your outdoor condenser.
- Base Pan Heater - The base pan heater prevents ice from building up on the outdoor unit. Excessive ice build will lead to performance issues and could damage your unit.
- Outdoor Condenser Plastic Pad or Wall Bracket - We recommend outdoor condensers should not be placed directly on the ground. An outdoor condenser pad or wall bracket will provide a stable way to mount your condenser free from obstructions and debris.
For over 50 years, Mitsubishi has remained at the forefront of the mini split industry thanks to their dedication to providing efficient, user-friendly comfort solutions. Part of Mitsubishi's hyper-heating product line, the MZ-FH06NA is a packaged single zone heat pump mini split system designed to bring high-efficiency zoned comfort to homes in frigid climates. The wall mounted indoor unit, MSZ-FH06NA, boasts a functional design, and operates at volumes as low as 20 dB. Thanks to the included mounting plate, it is easy to install on nearly any wall. The outdoor condenser uses some of the most advanced technology available to modulate temperature without the energy-wasting overshoots and short-cycling associated with simpler systems. With an included wireless remote controller, this system is the perfect combination of convenience and comfort for any application in a sub-freezing environment.

eComfort.com Note
If you will be using your mini split in conditions where ambient temperatures are expected to be (1) below 32 degrees F for more than 72 continuous hours or (2) below 0 degrees F for more than 24 continuous hours, we advise the use of a drain pan heater to prevent your mini split from halting function due to icing. You can find the appropriate drain pan heater in the accessories tab above. All Mini Split Systems require one Primary Mini Split Installation Kit. You may also require one or more Secondary Installation Kits if you have a Multi-Zone system. You will need a Secondary Installation Kit for each additional indoor unit.Specifications

Are the filters washable?
Douglas H
from Alabama
July 10, 2017
Answer
The Mitsubishi MZ-FH09NA system has 3 different filters each with slightly different maintenance requirements. The primary air filter should be either vacuumed or rinsed with water every other week, the anti-allergen filter should be vacuumed or rinsed with warm water every 3 months, and the deodorizing filter should also be vacuumed or rinsed with warm water every 3 months. The latter two filters will also need to be replaced periodically. Complete details about filter maintenance and replacement can be found in the operation manual on page En-11.

What is recommended square footage for this FH06 model?
Anton
from Virginia
October 07, 2016
Answer
Sizing depends on a number of factors besides the size of the room being heated or cooled. These include the quality of insulation, the number and size of the exterior walls, the size and quality of the windows, and the climate among other factors. To provide the best estimate possible we recommend using our Mini Split Sizing Wizard.

What wall mounted programmable control options are there for the MZ-FH systems?
Adam
from Massachusetts
August 11, 2016
Answer
You can use three different adapters / controls to program the wall mounted unit:
1) Mitsubishi RedLINK - Wireless Remote Controller Kit - #MHK1
2) Mitsubishi - Thermostat Adapter - #PAC-US444CN-1
3) Mitsubishi Kumo Cloud Wi-Fi Adapter - #PAC-WHS01WF-E
The first option has the thermostat included. The second option will require your own thermostat. The third option will require a smartphone or tablet.

Does the unit automatically shut off once the set temperature is reached, or does it just run constantly?
Lindsay
from Texas
July 30, 2016
Answer
This system is designed to run constantly to maintain the set temperature. Once it reaches the set-point, both the outdoor unit's compressor and the indoor unit's fan slow to a reduced speed. The ability to slow down the compressor is one of the major benefits of inverter technology. It helps efficiency because compressor startup uses disproportionately more energy than operation.

In which temperatures can it do the cooling and heating?
Nihan
from Hawaii
July 22, 2016
Answer
In the cooling mode, the system can operate in outdoor temperatures between 14° F and 115° F.
In the heating mode, the system can operate in outdoor temperatures between -13° F and 75° F. It can deliver up to 100% of the rated heating capacity at 5° F.
