i-see Sensor
The MSZ-FE12NA-8's i-see sensor monitors the floor and ceiling of its zone for fluctuations in temperature. If it detects an underserved area, the MSZ-FE12NA-8 will temporarily adjust airflow to ensure complete comfort throughout the zone.
Advanced Filtration System
With three unique filters inside the MSZ-FE12NA-8, the air in your zone is not only being conditioned, but it is also actively being cleaned. A hybrid catechin filter serves as the first level of defense against odors. It is backed up by a second deodorizing filter that utilizes a ceramic surface element and platinum nanoparticles to absorb any offending smells. The final filter is an enzyme-based anti-allergy filter that captures and destroys bacteria and particulates.
Hot-Start
Mitsubishi's hot start technology prevents cold drafts by delaying fan operation until the heat exchanger has warmed up.
Powerful Mode
The powerful setting on the MSZ-FE12NA-8 makes it easy to get your zone to the perfect temperature quickly. When it is activated, the unit temporarily increases refrigerant flow and fan speed to provide quick comfort through rapid heating or cooling.
Dehumidification
When the indoor unit is run in dry mode, the coil's temperature stays just below the dew point of the return air, removing unwanted moisture. This improves your comfort and reduces the chance of mold growth and other property damage in the conditioned space.
Vane Control
Optimal air flow is easy to achieve with the MSZ-FE12NA-8 thanks to two vane control options, standard and wide. These functions provide access to five different horizontal vane positions, five different vertical vane positions, two swing modes, a horizontal vane auto mode, and a vertical vane wide mode. Auto mode selects the best vane position based on operating mode and the swing modes cycle through all positions for maximum coverage. When wide mode is activated, fan speed increases beyond the current setting.

Installed a month ago. Works great, would recommend to everyone. I installed most of it myself and had a hvoc dealer hook up the tubes.

Mitsubishi is the Apple/BMW quality of AC Mini system

Just got this system installed ourselves in our Master bedroom with the help of my awesome HVAC licensed buddy and saved over $3000 dollars. Our local AC companies quoted us $4790 plus whatever price of an electrician for a 220v.
Now the review on this awesome Mit: It is EXTREMELY quiet, both the inside and outside units. When I say quiet, I mean, there is no noise until you put your ears few inches. You hardly hear the fan, just the air flow that comes out. At time I need to feel the air to know that the inside unit is on. The temperature is so COLD that it reminds me of some 5 stars hotel AC. The air that comes out of the vent is as cold as the air in the freezer. Yes, it is that cold. It is so comfortable sleeping for the past few nights under FL July-August heat and humidity.
I have done all the research and determined that Mitsubishi is the best of the best. It is the Rolls-Royce, Apple - BMW - Ferrari quality. I can't believe we lived so long in the hottest room of the house for so long. Looking forward to save half of my power bill since, we now can turn off or way down our big power hungry 5 ton Trane AC for the entire house during the night when we sleep.
Highly recommend Mitsubishi. You really get what you pay for in terms of efficiency and quality. Much like an Apple iPhone vs. android phone. Mitsubishi is really the BEST.

I use this in Canada mostly for heating. Easy to install with a little help from your friendly neighborhood hvac pro. Very quiet, very efficient. Cut the heating portion of our power bill in half for our small house - no exaggeration. The various settings and isee sensor are great - helps get rid of cold spots. I have bought one for my previous house and another for our new house - will be buying a second unit for summer cooling upstairs. My father in law has bought three for his house he liked the first one so much! Family and friends have tried other brands - Mr Slim is the best. Stick to 9000/12000 for max effiency.

this is the best most efficient heat I have ever had.I am heating a 1400 sq ft home with a single outlet it just got 10 degrees here and my house stayed a perfect 78 degrees. LOVE THIS UNIT I WOULD HIGH RECOMIND IT. KING,NORTH CAROLINA

Purchased 2 units in November and had them installed. After multiple visits from the installer and electrician it was determined that the motherboard on 1 of my units was shot. Called ecomfort to get a replacement motherboard, it has been on backorder and I'm told won't be available until sometime in January. The 1 unit that is working, works GREAT! However, I'm slightly dissapointed about the backorder. I live in the Bitter cold and everyday that passes is valuable dollars I'm not saving while I wait for my motherboard to come in.

Finally got the install finished up last Friday and it is working great! I knew they were quiet because my parents have a Daikin, but this one is even more quiet! unless the fan is running at full speed, you can't even hear it.
When I got it running the house was about 80F and 80% humidity. I ran it on the "Powerful" setting for a half hour, and the entire first floor got down to 74F and 50% humidity by the time I set it back to normal operation.
For the past year I have been using a 12k BTU window unit that struggles to keep the room at 75F. This new mini split should drop my electric bills and make the house much more comfortable.
I'm interested to see how the heating works, hoping it can offset a fair amount of oil.
With a $300 Federal tax credit and a $900 NH rebate, the cost was cut in half!

I waited to write a review until I had a chance to use the units I purchased. The air conditioning works great this summer did not get real hot 85 inside was 70 i could hardly tell they were running. The heat works great winter hasn't hit yet last was 29 outside woke up inside was 72 comfy. Had a slight problem with shipping called spoke with Victor 30 min, later Renee N. called me back and took care of the problem. Very professional. Power bill looks good, very happy.
