I replaced my many years older LG 8,000 due to mold build up in hard to access areas. It still ran perfectly. This new one is lighter, quieter, more efficient, and easier to install. You won't be sorry with this one.

We purchased this unit to replace an older LG AC that was making a racket in our bedroom. We made the purchase through another site that charged $30 more for the unit. They are now listing it another $50 higher. We are looking forward to buying another unit through eComfort for the other bedroom since this one is working so well.

My only complaint would be parts made of plastic. In fact the instruction book has a caution that the lower panel guides are easily broken when installing. I would suggest going back to metal or putting in extra ones in the box. Otherwise it really cools down my home and I am very pleased with its performance.
