This is my 3rd LG Mini Split system and I love them. The quality is great and they are quite and work great. A lot of people rant and rave on the Mitsubishi but I think these LG's blow them away. We ordered the LGRED system as it can get very cold in the mountains in the winter and we want a system that will handle the cold. When the main house system finally quits we are going to pull it out and replace with a second set of LG's mini splits.

This is a well manufactured unit. My only complaint is that the installation instructions were written in a foreign language and translated to English. The translation was not perfect. The only other gripe is that the unit has no neutral wire so all you have is two hots and a ground. No big deal but I had to do some research to sort it out because the directions were not well translated.

First off, let me tell you that this was not without hiccups. We hooked all the units up and there was a short on one of the circuit boards. eComfort sent the replacement parts out right away. When we got the units up and running, we thought the compressor wasn't on. Turns out it is unbelievably quiet. It's under our back porch and standing over it, you have the really listen to hear it. Very similar in sound to a refrigerator. We are very happy with this unit.

We are really enjoying having this unit. It does a great job of keeping our small space warm or cool. When the temperature drops to the low 30's it seems to struggle to regulate and makes lots of noise in the process. Other then that it is a fairly quite machine.

I installed the outside unit and 2 inside heads myself. Also ran all the lines and electrical. I then hired an AC tech to cut and flair lines to length and attach. He then did a pressure test and checked for leaks and then vacuumed down the system. Once the Freon was released, he checked both heads for proper cool down and heat operations. Everything went well and only cost me $300 for his services.
