Totally worth the money. This is a great smaller unit. Only complaint I would have and is has nothing really to do with the unit, is how much water it's separating out of the air daily. We have a 2 gallon bucket tucked behind ours and it fills it in about 36 hours of use. Never realized just how humid San Diego air is. Otherwise, huge thumbs up so far.

This summer has been extremely hot and humid. This unit cools 12 x 16 room with vaulted ceilings approximately 10-15 degrees cooler than the outside temperature. The best feature is the dehumidifier. Within a 4 hour period it pulls a gallon of moisture from the air. When the outside temps are in the 90's, inside temp is not going to be cold but will be comfortable. Noise level is tolerable, sounds like a loud fan. Remote does not sync temp with the unit I just turn on and set from the unit. Only issue I have is my utility bill quadrupled. But SDGE also increased their rates so higher usage with higher rates = increased bill.

For my room, it is perfect. Amazingly quiet. The air only blows upwards. My other 10,000 btu one blows right on my face on super hot days. This one blows upwards. For my room, it's perfect.
