Reliable Going On For Nearly 6 Years

I have now had the generator for going on 6 years. It has been reliable with one failure that was quickly taken care of. The 3D breaker in the generator went bad after 5 years and would not signal the transfer switch to kick in. I called Johnson Electric who I have a maintenance contract with and they responded in a few hours. The cause of the misstep was diagnosed and a new breaker was put in the next morning at 7:30 AM. It would have been put in the same day the breaker went down but the part was not available that day. No matter what brand you buy the maintenance company is the most important variable to consider. My guy even gave me his cell number and told me if I have a problem to call him first then the company, Johnson Electric, next.

Can’t rate the performance yet as I haven’t got it installed yet. Big artic storm has delayed installation. Generator looks very well designed and built, arrived without a scratch, in fact was shipped a few days ahead of projected ship date.
I have no do I’m going to be pleased with its performance.
The customer service was great and they were very helpful in making sure I got what I needed.

Good generator but not pleased with the Kohler company with respect to support for those of us who live over 100 miles from a authorized installer. Generac has better coverage in our area.

Just had my annual checkup after three years of excellent service. My service provider changes oil and filter, air filter, and spark plugs, and checks for updates. He also checks out the Transfer switch and battery to make the are working correctly. My generator comes on each and every power outage in a matter of a few seconds. I am pleased with the operation of this generator and the service provider.
