Goodman's air conditioners are all about reliable cooling at an affordable price. The GSX13 line of air conditioners provide efficient cooling with a nominal SEER rating of 13. The savings don't stop at energy costs though, the GSX130481 is designed for quick installation and maintenance as well. It also includes advanced components that protect the coil and compressor to ensure the unit's longevity and your peace-of-mind. Upgrade to a Goodman air conditioner today, and stay cool for years to come.

    Product Features

    Advanced Coil Design
The condenser coil of this air conditioner is designed with aluminum fins and rifled copper tubing to maximize efficiency. The fins and rifling serve to increase surface area, allowing the heat transfer capabilities of the materials to shine.

    Secure Cabinet
The cabinet of the GSX130481 is built to last. Galvanized steel construction, a durable powder paint finish, and a steel coil guard protect your equipment from wear and tear, increasing its longevity.

    Filter Drier
A filter drier is installed in the liquid line of this air conditioner. It serves two important purposes: removing moisture and trapping impurities. This prevents corrosion, freezing, and blockages that can negatively impact the operation of the air conditioner.

    Quiet Comfort
Goodman takes great pride in providing comfort that doesn't disrupt your home. The louvered top and three-bladed condenser fan of the GSX130481 were designed to reduce noise levels without compromising performance.

    Product Note

The US Department of Energy regulates minimum efficiency standards for central air conditioners and heat pumps based on geographic regions. We are required to abide by these regulations when selling products, and take this responsibility seriously. The standards depend on the rated efficiency of the entire system, not the nominal efficiencies of individual components. If you are unsure if your system will be compliant, please call or email us for help.

How long does this unit last and how often should it be check?
Michael M.
from Texas
August 01, 2016
Read Response +
Answer
Every unit has a different life span depending on installation application, maintenance, and usage. A lifespan of 10-20 years is typical. Maintenance, sometimes called a "Clean & Check" or "Tune-Up", should be performance annually by a qualified HVAC technician.

I have an R-22 system. Can I replace it with the R-410a condenser Goodman GSX13?
Sam N.
from California
July 25, 2016
Read Response +
Answer
When switching from R-22 to R-410a, we suggest you replace the condensor and also install a matched coil to ensure you get the performance and efficiency you are paying for. Replacing just the condensor will result in reduced output and efficiency at minimum, and could result in more serious problems. If possible, I would also suggest replacing the line set between the two units as well to avoid possible contamination that could lead to premature failure of your new system.
