The GPH1442M41 can be used in either downflow or horizontal airflow applications. It even features convenient access panels that make installation and maintenance a breeze.   • The condenser coil of this packaged unit is designed with aluminum fins and rifled copper tubing to maximize surface area and efficiency. It also features a durable all-aluminum evaporator coil that optimizes heat transfer

  • The cabinet of the GPH1442M41 is built to last. A galvanized steel casing and UV-resistant powder paint prevent fading and corrosion. Louvered panels and a coil guard are employed to keep the most important components secure.

  • A biflow filter drier is installed in the liquid line of this packaged unit's heat pump. The filter drier removes moisture and traps impurities, preventing corrosion, freezing, and blockages that can negatively impact the operation of the heat pump.

Answer
This packaged system does not come with an electric heater, but it can operate in "heating mode" out of the box because it is a heat pump. Additionally, you can purchase a 5kw - 10kw heat kit to provide supplementary heat during cold weather. Please check the accessories tab for compatible models.
