Features

Goodman established itself as the largest HVAC manufacturer in the US by producing high-quality, efficient equipment and providing it to homeowners at a great value. The GCVC96 furnace uses a pair of steel heat exchangers to convert 96% of the energy used into comfort, Goodman's highest mark for a two-stage furnace. It is equipped with an advanced variable-speed blower motor, which scales circulation to the specific demands of your application in real-time. The GCVC960403BN was designed with multiple options for the unit's gas, electric, and venting connections and orientation, ensuring a painless and quick installation. It even features a self-diagnosing control board that makes maintenance a breeze. If you're looking for consistent comfort and incredible efficiency from a two-stage furnace, it's tough to beat Goodman's GCVC96.
  • Advanced Heat Exchanger Design
  • The GCVC96 furnace employs a reliable dual-diameter tubular heat exchanger design. Aluminized steel is used for incredibly efficient heat transfer, and a wrinkle-bend is applied to the tubes to enhance the heat exchanger's dependability and longevity.
  • Secondary Heat Exchanger
  • This furnace produces addition heat by directing combustion gases through a secondary heat exchanger before they are vented. The secondary heat exchanger is made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel and it is sloped to prevent condensate build-up.
  • Quiet Comfort
  • The blower and gas valve of the GCVC960403BN were selected for their incredibly low sound levels. Additionally, this unit offers an airflow system and fan speed options that allow it to operate quietly while providing consistent comfort.
  • Venting Options
  • The GCVC960403BN offers several venting options to streamline installation in a variety of applications. It can be used in either a two-pipe direct vent setup or a single-pipe configuration with combustion air.
  • Secure Cabinet
  • All GCVC96 furnaces are protected by a durable steel cabinet rated for less than 2% air leakage. The heat exchanger section is insulated to prevent heat loss and the return side of the cabinet is solid and airtight.
  • ComfortBridge Compatible
  • This furnace is compatible with Goodman's ComfortBridge communicating controls. ComfortBridge streamlines the installation and maintenance processes further by automatically detecting the equipment and providing diagnostics and troubleshooting.
  • Auto-Comfort
  • Goodman's Auto-Comfort mode is available in applications where the GCVC960403BN is used to distribute cooled air. This mode scales output up to the cooling demand in stages for improved comfort, efficiency, and dehumidification.
  • Easy Integration
  • The GCVC960403BN makes it simple to enhance your system with a humidifier and an electronic air cleaner; just wire them directly to the low-voltage terminals on the control board.
  • Extended Warranty
  • Goodman offers a 10-year limited unit replacement and parts warranty when you register your product online within 60 days of installation. An unregistered product has the standard 5-year warranty. See the "Manuals" tab for more information.
  • Product Note
NOTE: This model has been temporarily suspended from production.

Product Questions Answered by Bob, the Heating Product Expert
I am in the process of installing a new Goodman heating & cooling system that is ComfortNet compatible. I am considering the CTK04 Thermostat, but I don't if I should spend almost $600 on this thermostat versus a non-ComfortNet thermostat at less than half the cost.
