i purchased this generator as a birthday present for my wife. We live in Texas and she is very concerned about the Texas power grid given the extreme temperatures we've been experiencing. This was to give her (and me) comfort that we would be covered if there is an outage or rolling blackouts. Fortunately we've not had to use it yet but I'm sure the day is coming.

Having endured numerous power outages at previous homes, some of them long term, we vowed to spend the extra money for a generator on the new home we were building, and we couldn't be happier with it. Our RG03624ANAX powers our entire house, plus an aircraft hangar. The house has two 200 amp service panels, and one transfer switch is installed for each panel. The generator and house are only a year old, so we can't provide comments on longevity. But so far it has worked perfectly, and we've needed it on several occasions. It's expensive, but it was significantly cheaper at Electric generators Direct than it was elsewhere.

About a week after the generator was installed and checked out it was put on auto. About a week later I noticed the blue light blinking and the controller would not respond to any series of the buttons so a hard reset was performed to no avail. The Generac Dealer came out and replaced the controller. Then about 10 days later I noticed the same thing and the dealer came back and this controller was found faulty also and replaced. The load has been checked several times and was well within the limits of the unit. The service and response time was great and am very satisfied with this aspect.
Since then we have lost the power twice and the generator performed fine so I am hoping that the problem is corrected.
I have a Generac 25kw liquidcooled at my home since 2005 and have never had any problems which is why I bought a Generac for my farm barn.
