Overall the product is great, the only issue I have is that when installing the installer and I found 2 very critical electrical connectors inside the 200A disconnect very loose and then found a connector on the controller on the generator loose and this connector would not allow the unit to start up for test purposes or even if there had been a power failure of which we simulated after completion of the installation. The connectors inside the disconnect could have and probably would have caused an electrical fire. These issues could be confirmed by my installer Billy House.

The ordering process was relatively easy. The expected delivery date was several months after the order date. One day ,about a month before we expected delivery, we received notice that our unit was ready to ship. Thereafter, we received a notice regarding each step of the delivery shipped, received locally, expected delivery date. We also got a call to set up the actual delivery- which all went very smoothly.We have not had to use this yet.

This is a great little 16kW generator package with a 200A Service Entrance ATS. I also picked up oil and battery heater accessories. The purchase and delivery from Electric Generators Direct was orderly and they provided informative status updates as there was some lead time with COVID and hurricanes this summer. A big reason I picked EGD was I needed a lift gate delivery and the carrier was helpful to set it in a convenient place. I picked it up and set it on the concrete pad in the back yard using a rental stand-on skid steer with forks, some 1”x4’ nylon slings and a stick of 3/4” rigid steel conduit. The Generac equipment is straightforward and their documentation is clear and thorough. The unit is about 30’ from the house and you can hear it running but it’s not too loud - quieter than expected. I haven’t run it during a true outage yet but our load test baked a tasty batch of cookies.

Does automatic tests on its own to check everything is working properly in the event you have a power outage you know it’s working beforehand. Awesome app that’s reports any activity with the generator. Haven’t had a power outage yet but ready if it happens. Ordered this generator based on reviews and my size needs and it shipped immediately. Very pleased with my purchase!!

I had my 20 year old generator go down because of power surge/lightning strike. Homeowners insurance covered it, and I was very pleased. I heard about ecomfort, and wanted to give it a try. Shipping date and time was messed up a little, which cost me a little time from work, but was readily resolved. Unit works great!
