Very Happy To Not Have To Worry About Power Outage

The generator was delivered on a timely basis. After the installation It started up almost instantly, only a few cranks for the natural gas to flow into unit. This 16 KW product has been discontinued I understand, for a 18 KW model. Note the 16 KW puts out 16 KW amount of power, when using natural gas whereas some of the other models only put out the rated Wattage using Propane gas which has more energy than natural gas, so read the specifications when choosing a generator. I installed a gas trap on the outside of the generator because the gas trap installed from the factory seems hard to access. I have only heard good things about Generac, I have spoken to the tech department a couple of times about routine things and they seem very knowledgeable .

As I heard my Generac sputter through its automated cycling, I went to the generator to see what was occurring and to my surprise it couldn't run at a consistent speed. The generator would run high, then low, shut off, restart and sputter some more. I received a 1906 error code and my light turned red. I called Customer Support for Generac and that was a joke. The person was supposed to send me a copy of my warranty, confirmed my email address and I still don't have it. Sadly disappointed!
