Highly recommend Electric Generators Direct. Generac would not give me the time of day. If you have a GE panel with an integrated meter, the drawings don’t address and Generac won’t discuss. They recommend their approved contractors only. Beware if you are an owner installer and ask for clarification from Generac. The overall installation and wiring was very easy. I permitted the job and the inspector said it was one of the best installations he has seen.

I finished the installation and start up the Friday before the tropical storm two weeks ago. It ran the whole house for 8 hours no problem. My wife and I were on the couch drinking champagne when the ATS kicked in and we kept right on watching Netflix. Portable generators are crap. Don’t be cheap buy a whole house permanent install!!

This is a very nice package and suitable for a wide range of applications. This is my third Generac and by far the best. The electricians hired to install the unit were impressed with both design and function of both the generator and the transfer switch. It took a couple of phone calls to put the unit on line but it fired easily on the first effort.
