So, Generac does not even give you hole plugs for the shipping holes in the bottom 4 corners...Had to buy from Amazon (keep mice, etc out)....Also, no battery brackets although holes for a bracket are there...Amazon again. The rubber caps over the key holes (2) do not stay on...pop open. Then it turns out there is a memo I had to call Generac to get about the lack of a neutral to battery charger for which I had to figure out and make special provision to install. Poor electrical engineering.... Hopefully it will run well. I installed a Generac 7Kw 11 years ago and the unit totally failed...motor failed totally and coil winding shorted. 11 years... not that long...hopefully this one will be better...THE WORST...ABSOLUTE WORST...Generac Customer Service. I had all sorts of problems hooking up the WiFi...spoke to 5 or 6 techs ..all had a different solutions...4 had no idea what they were talking about...no training...read to me from a manual... had to hang up can call back and hope I'd get better help...PLUS they have 3 service departments... Generator Tech, Activation Tech (which I find incredible that I have to "activate" the unit thru the web to make it work at all...and then WiFi Tech...3 different numbers. It was very frustrating and disorganized.. sad too...I thought they were a better company by now but they've gone worse.... Oh and Mobile App!!!! Kept trying to make me press a button to show me a list of nearby Service Companies to hire for every question.... App has no answers, no help...just a demand to call someone to have a tech come out and set up for a service call.....Pathetic.

Set this up with property that had a couple of houses we installed a 14KW in this 10 kW. The 10KW fails pressure switch sensor. If that's actually the case. We installed it roughly a month ago and we had a hurricane and it won't run these people needed it if they are on oxygen. So instead of sitting comfy in their house they had to go to the other property and shack up with other people

The install went pretty well until trying to start the gen for the first time. Needed to call to find an authorized service to come and trouble shoot. Carb butterfly was jambed and some wiring loose. Once those items were corrected it started fine. Might wish to check QC process?? Second gen sent to me, first one damaged during shipment.

Mounted on a small trailer with 2 100 lb lp tanks. Pull into hunting camp and have 60 amps 240volt for a week depending on load. Only draw back is 120 v external power required for battery charger circuit. Alarms even with solar charger connected to battery.

I have had a Generac HSG since 2005 It was still running it got me thru 11 days of no power with Hurricane Ian. I have been looking at a replacement for about 6 mo. Only because of its age. Right after Ian I decided to call Electric Generators Direct and order a new 10k. I ordered it on Monday and the truck delivered it to Fl on Friday. I made some modifications to placement and had the new Generac HSB online the next week. I am now good for another 18 years

Just recently had a replacement for an original generator that was a Generac with a guardian 10K. Had it installed with John from Acme Electric in Rhode Island. John was excellent to deal with did a wonderful job in a timely manner and explained all the new features. Only ran it for a test but I’m sure it’s going to work fine.
