The Generator gives us peace of mind to know we will never be without power. The installation was done very quickly by experts. The Generator runs for 5 minutes a week automatically to maintain performance. I have an app and receive a monthly report which indicates how many times the generator ran during the month, and the condition of the unit and battery.

We installed two of these in less than 2 months. Only because the first customer was so satisfied, he told his friend, and we installed that also. Very good units, we see that the manufacture has listened to us guys on installations, they have made it some much easier. We have been doing this for approx. 16-17 yrs. and we only had one bad unit on start-up, and that was a bad starter. Repaired it within 3-4 days, never had a problems sense. We'll keep on buying. Thanks

Registration took me about an hour!! On hold for ever. No internet service at installation site! Had to trouble shoot the Remote switches! The 2 switches need to be CLEARLY marked and identified. Took another half hour to figure out one of these was turned off.

I would think after paying $4,500.00 for the generator you would have included a few mouth free try out for you cell phone monitoring system. I was a little disappointed that was not included.

We were without power for more than 40 hours this past winter, when the power went out the Generac 16 K came on just as it is supposed to do. Our next door neighbor said she enjoyed seeing our Christmas Lights on. We have gas heating and we stayed warm throughout the power outage.

After carefully studying building codes regarding placement I poured my own pad. An expert electrician familiar with codes surprised me by saying that I needed a unit twice the size that I calculated. 16 KW versus 8KW because codes assume that no one is home during an outage and ALL electrical devices, lights, cooking, clothes drying etc are going full bore. Even recommended 3 Smart Switches for the heavy loads. This really increased the cost of the project.
The gas meter had to be doubled in size too. It took a while to find pipefitters for the gas connections and an electrician as we are experiencing a labor shortage due to the housing construction boom. Passed WA State and county inspections. The WiFi registration and initializing function was nerve racking and difficult to understand. Made some phone calls to the Generac folks who were patient. Finally it took the 20 year old apprentice electrician who was tech savvy to get the thing running. It handled every electrical load we threw at it. Hurray!
