Unit installed in gable by professional. This may require another vent or two to obtain full evacuation of hot air on high speed.

This purchase has turned out to be one of the best investments I have made! With this smart unit running (on Bluetooth control), my main air-conditioning system now performs at Peak Performance because the gable attic fan moves the excessive hot air out of the attic through the gable and the cool air in. The fan ships direct from the factory in California with no issues. The installation of the fan is relatively straightforward and it only took about an hour and a half to install. Wish I’d known about this fan a long time ago!!!

It's pulling air from a full attic that opens into a 2nd floor storage room. A lot of volume. It has been working hard, and making a difference. On 90+ days, it's in the low 100s on high. Home energy audit work isn't done yet, so it hasn't been a fair fight.

I live in Alabama, where attics get quite warm in summertime. I wanted the low speed efficiency, because sometimes the fan runs all night cooling down the attic. It's been doing a great job, and kicks in to higher speeds when needed, as set by the program.

My old attic thermostatic fan ran at a constant speed, using 408 WATTS or 3.4 AMPS!.
Even at high speed, the QuietCool Smart Fan only uses 148 Watts or 1.2 Amp...a tremendous energy savings. Also, this fan is much quieter and more efficient exhausting the air with its shroud. With the increasing cost of energy - this was a no-brainer!

The first weekend I had it I went up in the attic and installed it. I had to write in an outlet only cause the closest one was 30 feet away. This truly is a plug and play. I did choose to make a plywood cover to go over my gable vent with a hole.in the middle the size of the fan so I could ensure no hot air would recirculate back inside.
The only issue I had with the fan was where the electrical conduit goes through the fan shroud would rub while the fan was running.
I put a piece of rubber heater hose on it so it doesn't rub.
They need to install a rubber grommet on it from the factory.

We installed one fan in our attic in early summer. Our attic space is under 1000 sf. The property is in the lower Florida Keys, with a metal roof. Our AC air handler is in the attic space. Temps in the attic previously were well in into the 100’s. 120 & above. With the fan, seldom does the temperature exceed 100. (Maybe mid-day.) The current outside temperature is 91, feels like 105. Full sun. The attic temp is 90. Amazing. Very seldom do I take the time to write a review. This fan (as long as it lasts) is worth it. It absolutely made a noticeable difference in our attic temperature & our A/C is running much more efficiently.

Reduced My Attic Temperature By 20 Degrees

I found the fan was easy to install over an existing gable. I simply followed the instructions which included connecting my phone to the fan via Bluetooth and I was able to see the fan quickly reduce the temperature in my attic by 20 degrees.
