I purchased this with four head units to help my aging heat pump and this thing is great! Out side you can't even hear it when it is running unless you are standing within a foot or two of the unit.
Hookup was easy and straight forward. I really believe that this is one of the best decisions I have made for AC in my house. When the old heat pump fails, I will put the rest of the house on this type of system.

Quiet, easy installation.

This was my first mini-split installation, and it was time consuming but easy. The system is very quiet while running, easily have a conversation standing next to it and I can't hear it standing around the corner of the building, 10' away. The installation is on a semi-secluded lake cottage with only nature for ambient noise, it is that quiet. The indoor units (-18 and -09 wall mounts and 2 -09? floor mounts) are also very quiet in cooling mode. I have not tested heating mode.
Notes for the installation process:
1) Keep your holes for the linesets in a straight line- it will make pulling the linesets through the joists MUCH easier.
2) Have a flaring tool available. I accidentally kinked one line and found one factory flare not as smooth as I'd like.
3) The wiring diagram at the compressor is a bit vague. Here is the order: S1 = black, S2 = white, and S3 = red. If you forget you can match it to the pattern on the indoor units.
4) DEFINITELY buy the torque wrench and some Nylog. DO NOT SKIP THE TORQUE WRENCH.
5) There are a lot of videos on how to install the system, most of them include a nitrogen pressure test. The factory instructions only use nitrogen as a bleed gas during the purge process, no need for the pressure test according to the instructions.

The unit I had installed is garbage does not maintain a constant heat level over runs or under runs. Should have went with conventional heat pump.

Silent and Efficient

My installer is an experienced air-con guy and I assisted him because I was curious about the whole process. This was the first mini-split system he installed and it went together easily and quickly. When we first turned it on we thought we had a problem because we couldn't hear the outdoor condenser running. After a few minutes of scratching our heads we realized that it "was" running because it was getting colder inside the house. We looked at the fan inside the condenser and it was turning and we could feel heat exhausting. The condenser is amazingly silent! And it isn't straining to cool both rooms where the indoor wall units are installed.
I ordered this unit and two MSZ-FE12NA-8 indoor wall units and they arrived quickly and in excellent condition. I highly recommend this Mitsubishi Mini Split system. Installation was a breeze and it works great and runs silently.

The Mitsubishi mxz-2b20na is a beautiful heat pump. It's well built and quite a capable unit. I'm running a total of 21,000 btus with mine, and it's quiet and handles the load easily.

GREAT heating and A/C Unit..We Bought It Two Year Ago And it Works Quiet, Cool and Economical. We Have Four Inside Units and The Air Quality Is Clean and The Whole Space Is Cooled Evenly..We Are More Than Pleased With This Product
