Installed it through the wall of my shop. The slinger ring lightly touched the case, but I was able to shim the unit to clear the problem. 18000 was a little over kill for the square feet of my shop, but I wanted 220v. It is more than adequate for what I need. The filter is easy to get to, and that's good because the front must be handled carefully because of the wire connected to it.

Decided to review because it was extremely difficult to make a decision on such an expensive, heavy, timely investment. This was the third unit we chose after having to return two others due to damage, missing parts, and incorrect size specs.
This unit cools down a large room, which is basically the whole 3rd floor of our apartment, quickly. I don't have to plan to have it turned on before returning home. I simply turn it on when I feel the room getting warmer. On a 90 degree day in high humidity, it works perfectly in our old building apartment (on energy saver mode!). It also runs quietly, which is one of my favorite features. Our older, smaller one was so loud and virtually useless as it wasn't made for a large area. Great investment. It was unbearable without it in the summer heat and humidity.

We purchased this unit to replace an older LG AC that was making a racket in our bedroom. We made the purchase through another site that charged $30 more for the unit. They are now listing it another $50 higher. We are looking forward to buying another unit through eComfort for the other bedroom since this one is working so well.
