Purchased from PED. Delivery was fast and lift gate service was invaluable. Installation was done by a professional company and I recommend that. Install took about two hours. Startup was flawless and has done 3 exercise stints so far with no problem. Expecting major storm this weekend and we are ready.

As soon as I opened it up there was a trail of oil in the bottom. I called Generac to check on this and said it might have just been over filled and call a local authorized dealer.
It was full of oil and when I was ready to fire it up I cleaned up the oil that had leaked and started it up. After a few minutes it started leaking. Appears to be coming from around the oil sending unit.
I called Generac and told them and they again told me I need to call an authorized dealer. Well, I could see a response like that if it was a five year old machine, but not for a brand new one out of the box. I feel they should have been the one making arrangements to get it checked out and repaired. As of this post, I still have to make arrangements for someone to look at it.
Doesn’t say much for their quality control to let something leave their factory in that condition.
In addition, inside the 200 amp transfer switch box there are two decals for where wires are supposed to be attached. Well, they are reversed from where they should be located.
Another disappointment. If I had to do it all over again, not sure if I would choose Generac.

Very sorry to hear you're having problems with your generator. Generac has a large dealer network and all warranty service is provided by a local servicing dealer. I would suggest reaching out to a servicing dealer in your area to get your generator repaired.

With help from my Licensed Electrician friend, the unit performs as expected. Would be a little to complicated to wire up for the average home 'Do It Yourselfer'. I read Pros & Cons on this brand as well as others, Generac is affordable & I'm happy with my decision.
