Features
The Phantom II series from Crown is a high efficiency condensing boiler with domestic hot water production that comes with a multitude of features to set it apart from the competition. At its core, high efficiency condensing operation with AFUE levels up to 95% dramatically reduce your home's heating costs. The first to feature Phantom Adaptive Technology, the Phantom II series can be field converted to liquid propane with no kit required, has rate based temperature reset and easy start up. With a modulating burner with a 10-to-1 turn down ratio and self diagnotics, the boiler becomes an all-inclusive efficiency powerhouse more than worthy of a spot on your utility room's wall.
Easy Fuel Conversion
The Phantom II is easily field converted to liquid propane with no conversion kit required.
Guess Free Installation
With easy access to components through removable front and side paneling and a dropdown control center, the Phantom II relieves the guess work of installation.
Rate Based Reset
Featuring an innovative rate based temperature reset, the Phantom II doesn't require an outdoor sensor.
High Efficiency Heating and Hot Water
The Crown Phantom II Combi boiler combines space heating and domestic hot water production while maintaining an impressive efficiency rating of 95% AFUE with a 10:1 turndown ratio.
Condensing Boiler Technology
The Phantom II boiler uses condensing technology, allowing the boiler to recover heat energy in the exhaust gas that might otherwise be expelled from your home. This is what allows the boiler to reach such high levels of efficiency.
10-to-1 Turndown Ratio
The modulating burner used by the Phantom II condensing boiler can adjust its firing rate down to as low as one tenth of its maximum firing rate in response to heating requirements, further increasing the efficiency of your boiler.
Stainless Steel Heat Exchanger
The water tube heat exchanger is made from high grade stainless steel, giving your boiler's internals as much corrosion resistance as possible straight out of the factory while maximizing its longevity.

Fuel Type Fuel TypeTo create heat, some form of fuel is required. Fuel Type specifies what the product uses as an input to create heat.
Natural Gas
Combustion Type Combustion TypeCondensing appliances use leftover thermal energy from combustion gases to heat water in a secondary heat exchanger, resulting in higher efficiency and lower exhaust temperature.
Condensing
Vent Type Vent TypeProducts that use combustion (burning) of fuel to create heat also create potentially dangerous gasses that need to be exhausted (AKA "Vented"). Depending on the product, venting can be done via a chimney, through a side wall, or use a second vent to provide fresh air to the appliance.
Direct Vent
DHW Production DHW ProductionDHW (Domestic Hot Water) is potable water for uses other than space heat. Some boilers are able to provide DHW "out of the box", while others can do so with the purchase of optional accessories.
