Does this unit include a pump? Do you get everything shown in the photo? What is the temperature range of the water it delivers?
Dee And Cindy
from Oregon
September 19, 2016
Answer
The GWA-105 boiler comes with a Taco 007 Circulator Pump, and also includes everything in the photo. The controller allows you to select water temperatures ranging from 140F-220F, and will also automatically adjust supply water temperatures to match the heating load.

Does this system work if the power is out? My current boiler does but is very inefficient.
Dennis
from Massachusetts
July 02, 2016
Answer
This boiler from Williamson-Thermoflo will not work if power is lost.

I have a 7" inside measured square clay lined brick chimney in good condition. Do I need a new chimney liner installed?
Louis
from New Jersey
March 30, 2016
Answer
I took the following excerpt from the boiler manual: "A lined chimney is preferred and must be used when required by local, state, provincial and national codes, laws, regulations and ordinances. Vitreous tile linings with joints that prevent retention of moisture and linings made of noncorrosive materials are best. Advice for flue connections and chimney linings can be obtained from local gas utility. Type B double-wall metal vent pipe or single-wall vent pipe may be used as a liner."
+
What is the operating temperature range for this boiler?
Mark
from Michigan
December 23, 2015
Answer
GWA-series boilers can be adjusted to have a supply water set point as high as 220F, but temperatures above 180 F should be avoided except in exceptional circumstances. The return water should be maintained at no less than 140 F, to prevent condensation of the flue gasses that will lead to premature boiler failure.
+
Can I vent this unit out through an exterior wall with a short vent, instead of through the chimney?
Vince
from Pennsylvania
December 18, 2015
Answer
The GWA Series boilers require a chimney to operate properly and the installation you describe could result in the exhaust gases, including carbon monoxide, entering your home. If you would like a boiler that can safely vent through a side wall, I suggest considering on of our power vented models which have a built in blower to push exhaust gases out of the building.
+
What size is the gas pipe feed?
John
from New Jersey
October 15, 2015
Answer
The gas connection on GWA boilers is 1/2", though your pipe diameter from the meter to the boiler will depend on local utility requirements. See page 13 of the installation manual for further sizing details.
