This is a Watts Radiant UnderFloor mat, a variation of HeatWeave heating mats that are used for already existing flooring. The 1200512U2HW mat is designed to fit in between already existing joists and can be stapled in place quickly and easily. Designed to heat wood, vinyl, laminate, and tile floor coverings with ease, the UnderFloor mats use the same industry leading wire as other Watts Radiant electric radiant heating products. The wires are shielded and fully grounded, guaranteeing operational safety in a vast range of existing building types.

Product Features

Dual High-Grade Copper Heating Elements
The heating wire's heating element is made from high quality oxygen-free copper, giving the wire uncompromising heat transfer efficiency while retaining flexibility. The entire wire contains a pair of twisted heating elements which keeps the electromagnetic field generated by the wire to a minimum.

ETFE Wire Insulation with Grounding Jacket
The heating wire is enveloped in a durable ETFE insulation. This unique insulation offers significant resilience against chemical and temperature corrosion. The two wires are then bound together by a stainless steel jacket for grounding and durability purposes.

Single Power Lead
Both wires connect to the power supply with a single power lead, simplifying labor and reducing installation time.

Flexible Mesh Siding
The sides of the mat are made of a flexible material arranged in a grid. This arrangement allows the mat to be stapled to floor joists using simple wood staples.
