Goodman established itself as the largest HVAC manufacturer in the US by producing high-quality, efficient equipment and providing it to homeowners at a great value. The GSH13 heat pump is perfect for homes that are still using R22 refrigerant. With a nominal SEER rating of 13 and a minimum HSPF of 7.7, the GSH13 represents a significant step-up in efficiency from older equipment. The savings don't stop at energy costs; the GSH130481 is designed for quick installation and maintenance with an easily accessible control panel and gauge ports. Become a heat pump household today, and enjoy efficient comfort from a single piece of equipment through all four seasons.

    Product Features

    Quiet Comfort
Goodman takes great pride in providing comfort that doesn't disrupt your home. The louvered top and three-bladed condenser fan of the GSH130481 were designed to reduce noise levels without compromising performance.

    Filter Drier
A biflow filter drier is installed in the liquid line of this heat pump. It serves two important purposes: removing moisture and trapping impurities. This prevents corrosion, freezing, and blockages that can negatively impact the operation of the heat pump.

    Secure Cabinet
The cabinet of the GSH130481 is built to last. Galvanized steel construction, a durable powder paint finish, rust-resistant screws, and a steel coil guard protect your equipment from wear and tear, increasing its longevity.

    Defrost Capability
The GSH13 features defrost control that prevents damaging freezing conditions in the coil. If the coil is below 32 degrees Fahrenheit after a user-set amount of run-time, the defrost will activate and run until the coil has reached a safe temperature.

    Compressor Protection
This heat pump has liquid refrigerant return protection, which prevents refrigerant from flooding and damaging the compressor during operation.

    Product Note

Compliance with US Federal Regional Efficiency Standards is dependent on the rated efficiency of your entire system, not the nominal efficiencies of individual components. If you are unsure if your system will be compliant, please confirm before purchasing by calling us at 866-554-4328 or email us at sales@eComfort.com.

Does this unit come charged with R22 or will it need to be charged after installation?
Ryan

Answer
Per regulations, all R22 units still offered for sale ship "dry" - they're filled with nitrogen rather than refrigerant. They will need to be charged after installation. You should think about swapping out your coil and line set and upgrading to an R410a system. It will cost a little more upfront, but will save you money over time due to rising R22 refrigerant costs and parts obsolescence.
