Features
Burnham is devoted to pushing the limits of heating technology and efficiency. Their ingenuity is responsible for some of the most efficient boilers on the market today. The Series 3 line of hot water boilers blends a reliable design with Burnham's cutting edge IQ Control System. Series 3 boilers save energy by doubling down on heat retention with an insulated jacket and plates. Possessing industry standard tapping locations, simplified venting, and exceptional efficiency, the 308BPI-T is an excellent replacement for older natural draft boilers or the perfect addition for new construction.
Intelligent Hydronic Control
Burnham's IQ system consists of two primary components: an IQ Option Panel and an Intelligent Hydronic Control. The IHC supports two setpoints, controls ignition, provides fan and circulator relays, and acts as an aquastat.
IQ Option Panel
The IQ Option Panel provides a standardized and simplified way to add functionality to your boiler. It supports Burnham's plug-and-play IQ Option Cards for outdoor reset, an auxiliary high limit, and low water cutoff.
Compact Venting Technology
All Series 3 boilers contain a draft diverter. By internalizing this component, the profile of the boiler and the space required for installation is reduced. The 308BPI-T also includes a vent damper to provide ideal combustion conditions.
Durable Construction
Cast-iron construction of the boiler sections contribute to the incredible longevity of Series 3 models. The heat exchanger is also made of cast iron, which allows it to accept lower return water temperatures.

Fuel Type Fuel TypeTo create heat, some form of fuel is required. Fuel Type specifies what the product uses as an input to create heat.
Liquid Propane
Combustion Type Combustion TypeCondensing appliances use leftover thermal energy from combustion gases to heat water in a secondary heat exchanger, resulting in higher efficiency and lower exhaust temperature.
Conventional
Vent Type Vent TypeProducts that use combustion (burning) of fuel to create heat also create potentially dangerous gasses that need to be exhausted (AKA "Vented"). Depending on the product, venting can be done via a chimney, through a side wall, or use a second vent to provide fresh air to the appliance.
Chimney Vent
DHW Production DHW ProductionDHW (Domestic Hot Water) is potable water for uses other than space heat. Some boilers are able to provide DHW "out of the box", while others can do so with the purchase of optional accessories.

Ultra Low NOx Emissions Ultra Low NOx EmissionsNOx is a byproduct of the combustion process, and it's output is regulated in some jurisdictions. Many regulators mirror SCAQMD rules, which regulate air quality for some parts of Southern California. Ultra Low NOx appliances emit less than 10-14 ng/J (nanogram per Joule) of NOx. Learn More
