For nearly three decades, tekmar has been providing zoning and control solutions for a variety of heating and cooling applications. Products made by tekmar can improve the efficiency and comfort delivered by almost any system. The tekmarNet 552 Thermostat controls one stage of heating in your hydronic system. This touchscreen thermostat is a simple, and efficient, way to manage the heating of a single zone while improving the connectivity of your home.
Synchronize Your Zones, Save Energy
The 552 Thermostat is tekmarNet compatible. When connected to a tekmarNet system it can communicate with other tekmarNet thermostats in your system. Communication means that your thermostats can synchronize their cycles, when possible, instead of operating independently. In situations where your 552 is not connected to a tekmarNet system, or it is not part of a hydronic zone, then it may use auto cycling instead of synchronization. Auto cycling calculates and executes the ideal number of cycles per hour. You can also use this tekmarNet thermostat to instruct connected thermostats not to run heating operations and cooling operations simultaneously. These functions minimize short cycling, save energy, and reduce wear and tear on your system.
Program Your Ideal Schedule
This thermostat supports a seven day or 24 hour schedule with two or four events per day. You may override your schedule with a programmable scene at any time. If you connect the 552 to a tekmarNet system your schedule can be maintained independently, or it can be applied to other tekmarNet thermostats as a system-wide master schedule. The 552 can also follow master schedules as set by other devices. Whether you want to maintain an independent zone or coordinate devices, the tekmar 552 Thermostat has you covered.
The tekmar 552 has built-in humidity and temperature sensors for evaluating and managing the relative humidity level heating and air temperature of your room. The 552 Thermostat has auxiliary inputs for two additional sensors. It supports a number of different auxiliary sensors, allowing you to customize the information that your system receives in a way that optimizes system performance. You can control air and floor temperatures if you connect a slab sensor to your thermostat. If your tekmar 552 Thermostat is connected to an outdoor reset sensor, directly or through tekmarNet, then it has warm weather shut down to prevent overuse of energy when outdoor temperatures are high.
A tekmarNet 4 Wiring Center or Zone Manager is required for power and communication. This thermostat may be used in a stand-alone capacity.
