Q: How often do you need to change the Noritz Residential Condensate Neutralizer? I am installing this on a Noritz NRC98-DV NG. Single family home, 3 baths and 2 adults. This will drain into a septic tank. by Ron from California on July 23, 2016
A: The internal neutralizing agent must be replenished regularly, but will the exact replacement time will depend on how frequently the water heater is being used. Please see the Installation/ Operation Manual for details on replacing the media. Please see the last page of the install manual for how to check for replacement time. by Chris, Product Expert
Q: Where in the system do you install the condensate neutralization kit, and why? by Marissa from Illinois on December 01, 2015
A: You install the condensate neutralizer kit on the condensate drain from the boiler or water heater. It will raise the pH of the condensate so that it's less acidic. If you don't neutralize the condensate, it may corrode plumbing or damage a septic system. by Chris, Product Expert
