Features

Goodman established itself as the largest HVAC manufacturer in the US by producing high-quality, efficient equipment and providing it to homeowners at a great value. The GME8 two-stage, multi-speed furnace utilizes Goodman's superior heat exchanger design to provide efficient, reliable heating to your home. It is equipped with a four-speed ECM blower motor, which provides your home with comfortable, efficient circulation through a wide variety of conditions. The GMEC960302BN was designed for ease of installation, it has multiple options for orientation and gas and electrical connections. Maintenance is just as easy as installation thanks to the unit's self-diagnosing control board. Backed by Goodman's generous warranty, the GME8 provides comfort and peace of mind to homeowners.
  • Advanced Heat Exchanger Design
  • The GMEC96 furnace employs a reliable dual-diameter tubular heat exchanger design. Aluminized steel is used for incredibly efficient heat transfer, and a wrinkle-bend is applied to the tubes to enhance the heat exchanger's dependability and longevity.
  • Dual$aver Technology
  • Dual$aver Technology allows GMEC96 furnaces to begin operating at the lower stage for ideal efficiency. The control board uses historical data about the rate of temperature change in your home to decide whether the higher stage of heating is necessary.
  • Quiet Comfort
  • The blower, gas valve, and draft inducer of the GMEC960302BN were selected for their incredibly low sound levels. Additionally, this unit's fan speed options make it easy to maintain virtually silent circulation.
  • Secure Cabinet
  • All GMEC96 furnaces are protected by a durable steel cabinet with an insulated heat exchanger section to prevent heat loss.
  • Easy Integration
  • The GMEC960302BN makes it simple to enhance your system with a humidifier and an electronic air cleaner; just wire them directly to the low-voltage terminals on the control board.
  • Extended Warranty
  • Goodman offers a 10-year limited parts warranty when you register your product online within 60 days of installation. An unregistered product has the standard 5-year warranty. See warranty sheet under the "Manuals" tab for more information.

Products that use combustion (burning) of fuel to create heat also create potentially dangerous gasses that need to be exhausted (AKA "Vented"). Depending on the product, venting can be done via a chimney, through a side wall, or use a second vent to provide fresh air to the appliance.

Modulating/Staging Learn More
Modulating/Staging
Stages are unique speeds or levels that equipment can operate at. More stages allow for better fine-tuned control of output, which improves comfort and efficiency. Modulating equipment can operate across a range of levels, giving the highest level of fine-tuned control. Learn More

Blower Type Learn More
Blower Type
Blower type describes the motor that powers the fan in the unit. PSC multi-speed is the standard motor that operates with pre-set fan speed levels. ECM multi-speed are more efficient but still operate with pre-set fan speeds. Finally, ECM variable-speed motors are also energy efficient and automatically adjust to changing system conditions.

Configuration Learn More
Configuration
Orientation describes the direction that air will flow through a piece of equipment. (e.g. air will flow horizontally through a "Horizontal" unit heater.) Most equipment will only function properly if installed in the proper orientation.
