Electro Industries ES-24-BR Electronic Slab Thermostat for Electric Boilers
ES-24-BR Electro Industries Electronic Slab Thermostat for Electric Boilers has a remote sensor for sampling or sensing the radiant floor/surface temperature. As received with factory default, the sensor temperature and the knob set point should coincide.
The principle of radiant floor heating system is to maintain a slightly higher floor temperature than room temperature. This method of heating allows the objects located in the room to naturally absorb the heat radiating from the floor instead of heating the air in the room. Maintaining the correct temperature difference between the floor and room requires a thermostat that senses the floor temperature instead of the air temperature to maintain correct room temperature.
The 2-color LED represents the operate relay contact position:
- If the knob pointer is below the sensed temperature, the LED is red and the operate relay contact is opened.
- If the knob set point is above the sensed temperature, the LED is green and the operate relay contact is closed.
ES-24-BR Electronic Slab Thermostat for Electric Boilers Warranty:

The majority of the Electric Boilers including Mini-Size Boilers, Midi-Size Boilers, TS Series and Commercial Boilers with hydronics heating, installations have several zones or thermostats in various rooms. When one thermostat calls for heat it represents only a partial load to the boiler. In most dual heat installations this Electric Boilers are plumbed in series with an existing oil, gas, or wood boiler. For gas or oil, the Electric Boilers is generally at the gas/oil outlet; but for wood, the Electric Boilers including must be on the inlet sides. The standby boiler cannot be operated as hot boiler. This will defeat the Electro-Boiler. Rewire as required using EB-S-SB, standby boiler is turned on from the brown wires. In the case of existing fossil fuel boiler conversions, it is assumed the expansion tank, valving, air bleeder, and circulation pump are in place, in good operating condition, and adequate for the overall system design. In the case of new installation (floor radiant or baseboard), use standard hydronics water heating practices for the necessary expansion tank, air bleeder, valving, water pump, etc., sized for the total capacity of the system. The Electro-Boiler is turned on with an R and W closure from the zone system wiring.
